Until recently, Type 2 diabetics looking for doctor-approved, drug-free treatment options were out of luck.
But with news of toxic levels of N-nitrosodimenthylamine (NDMA) in the popular drug Metformin – and the spate of recalls that followed – some doctors are reconsidering the alternatives.
As reported by Health Canada, 3 large pharmaceutical companies have recalled drugs containing Metformin, beginning as early as February 2020 and recurring as recently as June 13, 2020.
With Metformin becoming too risky for many doctors, one of the most promising alternatives has been getting a second look.
Dr. Marlene Merritt (DOM, MS Nutrition), an Austin, Texas-based doctor who used to suffer high blood sugar herself, had developed a natural, drug-free solution that works to reverse the disease, not just treat its symptoms, and is free of adverse side effects.
But in spite of the regimen's clear effectiveness, medical journals have been reluctant to publish Dr. Merritt’s findings. Some have speculated their reticence may be due to pharmaceutical industry influence.
But now Dr. Merritt has taken matters into her own hands by partnering with independent health publisher, Primal Health, to make her Type 2 diabetes-reversing regimen available to everyone in an online presentation.

The video has already elicited a broad range of response.
Several viewers have noted the simplicity of the regimen, along with how practical the diet is. And many who are currently using it report their doctors have reduced or eliminated their diabetes medications.
And while some in the pharmaceutical industry have taken issue with the presentation's drug-free emphasis, many doctors who have been looking for a natural treatment to share with their patients have been receptive.
Dr. Merritt cautions viewers to exercise common sense and only go off your medications with the approval of your doctor.
